GLIMMERGLASS STATE PARK & BEACH
Glimmerglass State Park rests on the shores of Otsego
Lake off Route 31
south of US 20 in the East Springfield
area. It is just 3 miles from The
Meadowlark Inn.
Visitors to Glimmerglass State Park enjoy fishing, a boat launch, a beautiful
swimming beach, children's playground, nature trails, multi-use trails,
picnicking, viewing wildlife & viewing plant life.
The beach boasts a beautiful brand new clubhouse and concession stand.
(Concession stand run by the popular Danny's Main Street Market.)
This state park gained in popularity as the result of James Fenimore Cooper's Leatherstocking Tales.
Otsego Lake is a featured attraction at this lovely
woodland park that is home to a variety of wildlife
and plant life. The
Hyde Hall Mansion, Covered Bridge and Beaver Pond Nature Center draw
thousands of visitors each year. A plethora of recreation sports are enjoyed
year-round.
